To be married in St. Nicholas, at least one of the partners needs to be resident in the parish, or to be a regular member of the congregation. Enquiries relating to weddings should be made by the couple to the Rector on 01622 758 704, so that a meeting can be arranged.
Typical fees for a wedding in 2006 will amount to around £430, but there are a number of variables.
Where one or both partners have been previously divorced, there is no automatic right to be married in church, but under certain conditions, it may be possible to arrange. Each case will be taken on its merits and no case sets a precedent for any others.
