Mothers' Union
"The Mothers' Union (MU) is a Christian organisation with more than three and a half million members worldwide. The backbone of the MU is our worldwide network of volunteers. Whatever their individual backgrounds, our members are joined together by a commitment to marriage and family. Volunteers give their time unstintingly to help others, whether by running local projects, supporting international campaigns, or fundraising."
The Allington branch of the Mothers' Union is a very active group with around 50 members holding meetings every month (except August) preceded by a prayer meeting in Church. Visitors, including gentlemen, are always welcome to our meetings, which are held on the 3rd Thursday of the month in the Church Hall.
We celebrate Communion at 10am on the first Wednesday of the month. There is the opportunity to call in for "coffee in the Vestry" after this service. Please do come if you are new into the area or in need of a friend.

As part of our commitment to Christian service in the community - we make up welcome boxes for the young homeless housed at Trinity Foyer in Maidstone and collect toiletries for the local Women's Refuge. We are knitting bonnets and cot blankets for our special care baby units. There are other knitting opportunities including 12" squares or 6" by 4 foot blanket strips, comfort teddies and baby clothes for Operation Sunshine. We have patterns and do need more volunteer knitters and donations of baby wool and wool oddments: contact Marianna 751243.
