There are always many opportunities for service in the family at St Nicholas. Some of the major needs are detailed below and if you wish to help out in any of these ways we will be delighted to hear from you. If there is nothing that particularly catches your eye, please email the Rector and let him know what sort of thing you would like to do. There is bound to be a need that you can satisfy, however small.

Role - To be
part of the team that visits families before their child is baptised and to be a link when they come to church.
Full training will be given. An enhanced disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau will be required.

Role - To be
part of a rota of people cleaning the church. This is a very important role as it helps to make people feel welcome
and at home when they visit the church.

Role
- To help lead "God Squad", a group for those aged 11+. Takes place on
first and third Sundays of each month including tea. Leaders needed to organise parts of the meeting and relate to
young people.

Role - To
deliver the "Grapevine", our parish magazine, each month to all subscribers in a particular
area of the parish, and to collect annual subscriptions at the start of the year.

Role -
To take responsibility as a committee for the maintenance and running of the church hall.

- To be part of the rota of people that mow the grass around the front and back of the church.

- To help with the Saturday Club (for 4-11 year olds) once a month on the
3rd Saturday of the month. It is not essential to be available every month.
